I have no problem with Mourinho - Essien

Ghana and Chelsea midfielder, Michael Essien, has denied claims that his 'father-son' relationship with Coach Jose Mourinho has deteriorated.

Essien, who is fond of calling Mourinho 'Daddy', has made only two appearances for Chelsea this season. He, however, insists that he has nothing against the Chelsea Manager.

“I am not worried to sit on the bench at Chelsea,” the 30-year-old told Accra-based Asempa FM.

“I am an experienced player to cope with this situation.

“I will continue with my hard work and training and I hope my time will come to start games for Chelsea.”

Essien is third choice for Chelsea in the defensive midfield role, with Mourinho preferring Ramires or Mikel in the Chelsea starting line-up.
