Ghana dropped one spot to 24th position in this month's FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking.
This follows the Black Stars 2-1 loss to Egypt in the second leg of their World Cup play-off.
The defeat caused Ghana's accumulated points to reduce to 849 from 860 in October.
Ghana, however, remains the second best side in Africa, behind Cote d’Ivoire, who are 17th on the global ranking.
All teams in the top 20, except for Ukraine (18th, up 2), have booked their tickets to Brazil next year and just three teams outside of the top 50 have managed to qualify for the 2014 showpiece, namely Cameroon (51st, up 8), Korea Republic (54th, up 2) and Australia (59th, down 2).
This is the last draw before the draw of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil is held in Rio de Janeiro on December 6.
