Ghanaian musician Black Sherif has added another international chart milestone to his growing résumé after his latest single, Jolie, debuted at No. 20 on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart.
The song, taken from his six-track Sun Sherif EP, entered the chart for the week of September 13–19, 2026, giving the musician another appearance on one of the key international charts tracking Afrobeats music in the UK.
While No. 20 may be another chart entry, it adds to a growing pattern for the Konongo-born musician, whose music has consistently found audiences beyond Ghana.
His breakthrough international moment came in 2022 when Kwaku The Traveller reached No. 2 on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart, where it spent 13 weeks. It also reached No. 5 on Billboard’s US Afrobeats Songs chart and became the first Ghanaian song to top the Nigeria Apple Music Top 100.
Black Sherif has since maintained a presence on the UK chart. His collaborations and singles have continued to make appearances, including Second Sermon with Burna Boy, which peaked at No. 8; Soja at No. 13; Shut Up and Kilos Milos, both at No. 13; Lord I’m Amazed at No. 10; So It Goes with Fireboy DML at No. 5; and Sacrifice at No. 11. His 2026 releases have also extended the run, with Popstar peaking at No. 8 and Swagga at No. 15 before Jolie arrived at No. 20.
His international credentials also extend beyond charts. In 2023, Black Sherif won the Best International Flow award at the BET Hip Hop Awards, following a previous nomination in the same category.
His album success has followed a similar trajectory. His 2025 sophomore album, Iron Boy, debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard World Albums Chart, making Black Sherif the only Ghanaian artiste, according to reports at the time, to have both a debut and sophomore album appear on the Billboard chart. The album also debuted at No. 6 on Spotify’s UK Top Debut Albums chart.
The latest achievement with Jolie, therefore, is less about one song and more about the consistency of Black Sherif’s international footprint. From Kwaku The Traveller’s breakthrough on the UK and US charts to his BET recognition, Billboard album entries and continuing UK Afrobeats appearances, the rapper has steadily built a catalogue that travels beyond Ghana.
For Black Sherif, Jolie is another entry in an increasingly long list of songs carrying his sound into the international market.
