FIFA hands over Goal Project 4 to GFA

Football world governing body, FIFA has handed over a $400,000 six-classroom block and a standard training pitch to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to signal the completion of  FIFA Goal Project Four.

The project which is to help the GFA establish an academy as part of its development plan, has six  classrooms, an Information Technology Centre (ICT) to serve as a centre for the GFA’s training programmes.

As a first step,  40 players, made up of 20 boys and 20 girls, selected from the various Under-15 tournaments, will be recruited, camped, trained both technically and academically for two years.

The selected players will form the basis of the national Under-17 teams.
