Arsenal may sign Real Madrid's German midfielder Sami Khedira

French newspaper L'Equipe says Arsenal may secure the services of Real Madrid's German midfielder Sami Khedira.

Curious whether Arsene Wenger has caught any "buying fever," the paper said having already spent 59 million euros this summer in only two transfers (Chile international forward Alexis Sanchez and French right-back Mathieu Debuchy), Arsene Wenger has confirmed a trend that he would no longer hesitate to take out the checkbook to recruit.

Wenger who turns 65 in October, has been arguably the Premier League's most frugal manager, refusing to spend even if the club's accounts looked healthy.

And according to L'Equipe, in 2014-2015 Arsene Wenger could exceed the usual ceilings as the London club expectantly await the arrival of probable Sami Khedira.
