Nmai, a native of La told the Daily Graphic in a telephone interview that his whole career in K-1 Thai Boxing has been geared towards winning a world title and he will not allow this moment to pass him by.

He said he was undaunted by the prospect of fighting German Dorrer in front of potentially hostile fans because he will win them over with his superior kicking and boxing technique.

Nicknamed "The Punisher" the experienced Nmai boasts a 28-fight record which stands at 23 wins and five losses while Dorrer has won six bouts and lost three times.

He also expressed gratitude to his mother Madam Elizabeth Naa Merley, brother Emmanuel Annan Nmai and his deceased father Samuel Nyanyo Nmai alias Ataa Nmai who have supported him throughout his career as a mixed martial artist.

Nmai added that he was hopeful his victory will spark interest in the sport of kickboxing among Ghanaians.
