June 4: Rawlings to address cadres Monday

Former President, Flt Jerry John Rawlings will address cadres said to be drawn from all the regions at his office on Monday, June 3.
The address forms part of activities marking the 34th anniversary of the June 4th Uprising that ushered in the erstwhile 3rd Republic, a statement from the office of the former president Sunday announced.

This year’s anniversary, according to the event planning committee, is being celebrated under the theme, “Patriotism, Key to Nation Building”.
 
The statement which invited members of the media to events marking the anniversary, said on Tuesday, June 4, there will be a short parade and wreath laying ceremony as well as the lighting of the perpetual flame at the Revolutionary Square, Flagstaff House at 8am.
