Hague commends NPP for resorting to law court
The British Foreign Secretary, Mr William Hague, has commended the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its 2012 flag bearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, for resorting to the court with their election grievances.

He described the conduct as a move to ensure that peace prevailed in Ghana.
The British Foreign Secretary made the commendation when he met with Ms Sarah Adwoa Safo, the NPP Deputy Ranking Member for Foreign Affairs, and Mr Charles Owiredu, the Director of International Affairs of the NPP, at No. 11 Downing Street.
This was during the International Democrat Union (IDU) Young Leaders Meeting in London.
This was contained in a statement issued by the International Affairs Directorate of the NPP.
It said the British Foreign Secretary further reiterated the commitment of the Conservative Party in deepening its relationship with the NPP and assured the team that the UK government was following the legal proceedings closely.
The IDU Young Leaders’ Forum brings together future leaders of IDU parties. The main objective of the summit was to offer high-level training and policy discussions that were relevant to the group, and to facilitate networking among the delegates.
Keynote speeches were delivered by senior British government ministers, leading centre-right thinkers and campaign experts who elaborated on themes such as values and ideas of the centre-right, communication, campaigning and current political issues.
