In a 10-minute interaction with the Crown Prince on the margins of the 3rd Afro—Arab Summit in Kuwaiti City, Mr Amisssah-Arthur said Ghana had a conducive investment climate which ensured that investors reaped maximum returns on their investment.

The Vice-President said the government of Bahrain could encourage its private sector to invest in Ghana's mining, agricultural, tourism, and energy sectors for the mutual benefit of the two countries.

He explained that Ghana had large tracts of fertile lands which investors from Bahrain could use for food and raw material production to feed local and foreign manufacturing firms.

Mr Amissah-Arthur further explained that Ghana boasted rivers  which could be used for irrigation purposes by investors to enhance agricultural activities.

According to him, investors from Bahrain could also invest in the country's infrastructure sector on a public-private partnership, stressing that the ports, airports and roads sectors were areas which were available for investment.

He called on Bahrain to share its expertise in the gas production to enable Ghana to safeguard its gas industry into the foreseeable future.

For his part, the Crown Prince said the political stability which Ghana had enjoyed for the past 23 years and the economic transformation it had achieved over the period made it a favourable destination for investment.

He promised to liaise with the investor community in Bahrain and encourage them to take advantage of the varied economic potentials in Ghana.

Present at the meeting was the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Kwesi Quartey.
