Clad in beautiful kente and white apparels, children of the society eloquently read verses, recited poems and danced to different renditions of gospel tunes to the delight of all present.

In his sermon, the Spiritual Director of the society, Very Rev. Father Emmanuel Gosu, appealed to Ghanaians, particularly politicians, to show love to one another as the country prepares for the December 7 elections to ensure peace.

"If we express love, we will have everything that we wish for our country. We can have faith and hope, but love is the greatest of all,” he pointed out.

Rev. Fr Gosu called on Ghanaians to rally their support behind whoever emerges as winner in the December elections to help steer the country on the right path.

In an interview with The Mirror, the Grand National President of the society, Obaapanyin Gloria Kwasie, called on Ghanaians to offer their little contributions to better society.

That, according to her, would help spur development and guarantee a peaceful coexistence.

In a speech, Obaapanyin Kwasie said St Theresa lived a very quiet and simple life of prayer, yet her impact had lived through generations.

The society was founded in honour of St Theresa of Lisieux, a French girl who entered the Carmelite convent at age 15 and dedicated her whole life to God until she died at 24.
