Following the accusations during a live discussion on Sungmale FM in Wa in the Upper West Region on Wednesday, the police stormed the studios and arrested the host, Tinaa Adams and his two panelist, forcing the station to abruptly end the programme.

The three were taken into Police custody and were later released on bail after their statements were taken.

A statement signed by the Director-General of Public Affairs at the Police Administration DCOP (Rev.) David Nenyi Ampah-Bennin condemned the action of the Wa Police, stating that, “the action, irrespective of the circumstances is unacceptable.”

“It is the belief of the Police Administration that the issue could have been handled in a more professional manner,” the statement said.

The Police Administration further apologised to the management and staff of Sungmale FM for the incident.
