The GH¢55,277.50 project was funded by the university in collaboration with the GNFS.

According to Prof. Ellis, considering the value of property, in terms of students, staff, infrastructure, equipment and funds on the campus and its environs, there was the need for the provision of the facility to ensure safety.

He said the construction of the structure for the GNFS was a commitment of the university to support the GNFS and offer efficient service to the university and other communities around the university in case of any fire.

Prof. Ellis said the university would continue to support and partner the GNFS and other development partners to boost safety as well as protect property and life at the university.
