The Second lady, Mrs Matilda Amissah-Arthur, has admonished Christians to brighten every little corner they found themselves instead of placing every misfortune at the doorstep of politicians.

That, she said, would enable Christians to reap the full blessings God had bestowed on mankind.

Mrs Amissah-Arthur made these remarks at the launch of Apostle Jude Hama’s maiden books in Accra.

“We can’t always blame others for every problem. As humans, we continue to sin against God but He continues to show His mercies on us and as Christians, we should strive to know Him more even in trying moments through fervent prayers,” she explained.

Mrs Amissah-Arthur charged Christians to live exemplary lives which would draw other people closer to God.

Apostle Jude Hama, for his part, said in an era where a lot of people claim to be servants of the Lord, it was possible for people to make wrong presentation of the true Jesus Christ and therefore his two books sought to present the true Jesus in unambiguous way.

The books, ‘Knowing him better’ and ‘What is amazing about Jesus’, he said, threw a fresh and a deeper perspective about what Christians already knew about Jesus.

Apostle Hama said because of work pressure, most Christian’s prayer attitudes were waning but as Christians, prayers should be the first response but not a last resort.

His two books, he explained, had been carefully designed in smaller volumes to whet people’s appetite to read them and included articles he had published in The Mirror newspaper and some selected sermons he had delivered on many platforms.

Mr Sam Nyarko Mensah, on behalf of the publishing house, Step Publishers, encouraged Christians to read the books to increase their faith and discover new things about Jesus.

The first copy of the two books was sold for GH¢15, 000.
