Graphic security co-ordinator installed chief

Togbe TsruThe people of the Ziavi Traditional Area in the Ho municipality have installed the security co-ordinator of the Graphic Communications Group Limited, Mr Frank Mawuko Koku Dzamson, as the Avafiaga (chief warrior)  for the traditional area under the stool name, Togbe Koku Tsru II.

Also installed was the female counterpart, Madam Rejoice Aku Atsu as Asafo Nyonufiaga under the stool name, Mama Akua Yorwlanu II.

Both the Avafiaga and Nyonufiaga took the oath of allegiance after being released from nine days of customary confinement, having also passed through some enthronement rites at Ziavi-Agoviepe last Sunday.

In a brief speech at the ceremony, Togbe Tsru commended the chiefs, elders and kingmakers for not subjecting them to unwanted and unnecessary rituals during the period of confinement.

He acknowledged that a great honour had been bestowed on them and that although the task ahead was Herculean in nature, they had accepted the challenge and promised to deliver to the expectation of the people.

“We pray that those special leadership attributes that they have been able to discover in us will be nursed, nurtured and harvested in special ways, and with God on our side and the collective support of all of us, it shall be well”, he pledged.

Togbe Tsru called for support and prayers, and prayed that the people would adhere to the values that had kept them together as one people of the great traditional area with a common destiny.

Togbe Tsru is 58 years old. He is an educationist, a lawyer and a retired Major in the Ghana Armed Forces. He is married to Rose with six children. Mama Yorwlanu is 42 years old and a businesswoman in Accra. She is married with children.

Sitting in state was the paramount chief of the Ziavi Traditional Area, Togbega Kwaku Ayim IV with the Avafiaga of Asogli, Togbe Lakle Adzie Howusu XIII, as the chairman.
