Murder suspect to undergo further medical tests

Further medical examination is to be conducted on the person who allegedly murdered the pastor of the Tema Community Four Central Assemblies of God Church, Rev. Dr David Nabegmado.

The tests were ordered by the Chief Psychiatric, Dr Akwasi Osei, after he had conducted an initial test on the suspect, Francis Nabegmado.

The police prosecutor handling the case, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mr Jacob Asamani, made this known yesterday at the Tema District Court where the suspect had been arraigned for possible committal proceedings.

ASP Asamani told the court that a CT scan had already been conducted on Francis, with other tests yet to be conducted.

According to him, further tests were expected to be conducted on January 28, 2019.

Based on the development, the presiding magistrate, Mrs Akosua A. Adjepong, remanded the suspect and adjourned the case to January 31, 2019.

Autopsy report ready

Meanwhile, ASP Asamani informed the court that a pathologist had conducted an autopsy on the deceased and released the report to his family.

The presiding magistrate directed the prosecution to furnish the court with a copy of the autopsy report and also ensure that copies of the medical examination on the suspect, when concluded, were filed at the court.

Background
