Delayed election results making Ghanaians jittery - NPP
The National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr Sammy Awuku says with the availability of declared pink sheets from 27,577 polling stations, the party can confidently place its presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at a comfortable lead of 53.79 per cent.

Per the parliamentary seats, he said the party had won a clear parliamentary majority with a minimum of 148 seats and up to 170 seats.
With a difference of 1,690 "marginal" polling stations to be announced, and a difference of almost 100,000 difference between the NPP candidate and President Mahama, Nana Akufo-Addo would still win even if the total numbers of votes cast at those remaining polling stations were added to that of President Mahama.
Addressing a press conference in Accra, Mr Awuku expressed worry as to why it had taken the Electoral Commission (EC) so long in making the necessary declarations.
He said this was the first time in 16 years that election results had been so delayed making Ghanaians jittery and anxious asking "what is causing the delay."
He alleged that the delay on the part of the EC was calculated and suggestive on the part of the EC to over-turn the decision of Ghanaians.
He warned that the NPP would not accept any massaged results that might trickle from the EC and urged the Chairperson of the EC, Mrs Charlotte Osei to, in the interest of peace and national harmony announce the results while hoping that President Mahama would receive the outcome with the same humility that Nana Akufo-Addo did against former President Mills in 2008 and in the outcome of the 2012 Supreme Court petition.
He was appreciative to the youths of the country for voting for change.
