Amansie West: Police kill four robbers

The Manso Nkwanta District Police Command on Wednesday shot and killed four suspected armed robbers at Kensire Nkwanta in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region.

The suspects are said to have engaged the police patrol team in the area in a shootout.
Some eyewitnesses told Accra based Accra FM, that the suspected armed robbers laid ambush on the road between Kensire Nkwanta and Manso Edubia.
They said the police patrol team, upon reaching the area, engaged in a shootout with the armed robbers and the four were gunned down.
Two others said said to have managed to escape.
The body of the deceased are said to have been deposited at the Agroyesum Hospital mortuary.
The police are yet to comment on the incident.
