A statement by the group said Ghanaians had every cause to appreciate and thank God for His unusual kindness towards the nation.

It said though this year had been challenging, through it all God had preserved the peace, unity and stability of the nation.

The statement recalled the anxiety and fear that characterised the election petition case, fire outbreaks, strikes, demonstrations, load shedding (dum sor) and others that had the potential of threatening the peace and stability of the nation.

It called on members of the Executive, the Judiciary, the the Legislature, the media and all Ghanaians to join in the thanksgiving service,  either at the Black Star Square or via GTV at 10 am.

The theme for the service is: “Let Ghana now say that God’s mercy endureth forever”.
