85 suspected criminals rounded up

The police also retrieved dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, a whitish substance suspected to be cocaine and a number of unregistered motorbikes from the hide-out of the suspected criminals.

Chief Supt Aboagye-Nyarko told the media after the exercise that the suspects, including some foreigners, would be screened.

He explained that the exercise had been informed by the recent killing of victims of armed robbery attacks within the Tesano Divisional Police Command.

Over the past weekend, a woman was killed at the Kaneshie Market.

Chief Supt Aboagye-Nyarko gave an assurance that the police would intensify their operations and appealed to members of the public for support.
