The event, spearheaded by the Mission and Evangelism Committee, was held on Friday, August 4, 2023, at the Accra New Town Congregation. It witnessed over 500 attendees from more than 10 participating schools.

Named after the Hebrew word "ŠÁKAL," meaning "success", derived from Joshua 1:8, the event served as a significant initiative to provide spiritual guidance, encouragement, and support to the BECE candidates as they prepare for their forthcoming examinations, scheduled to commence on Monday, August 7, 2023, across the country.

The main speakers for the event were Rev. Michael Gabriel Anim-Tetey, District Minister of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Accra New Town District, and Minister-In-Charge, Accra New Town Congregation, Rev. Titus Tetteh Nanor, Associate Minister, Accra New Town Congregation, and Akosua Ago Aboagye, a broadcaster with the Despite Media Group.

ŠÁKAL SUMMIT 2023, a spiritually enriching event, focused on the power of God's word, fervent prayer, heartfelt worship, uplifting praise and dance, and a profound anointing that deeply impacted all attendees.

Delivering the Sermon, Rev. Titus Tetteh Nanor emphasized the importance of nurturing a strong relationship with God through His word.

He urged the students to be committed to hard work through consistent learning, while they seek divine guidance and grace as they prepared for their exams, reminding them that genuine success comes from God.

The anointing service, conducted by Rev. Michael Gabriel Anim-Tetey, emphasized the indispensable role of the Holy Spirit in the success journey.

In his remarks, he encouraged the students to commit themselves to their studies and trust the Holy Spirit to aid their ability to recall during the examinations.

"The anointing is not magic. Study well, and trust the Holy Spirit to remind and help you in your time of need," he added.

A notable moment of the event involved a heartfelt testimonial shared by Akosua Ago Aboagye, wherein she recounted her life's journey and how divine guidance and grace have shaped her into the broadcast professional she is today.

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana recognizes the significance of collaboration between the Church and other stakeholders in the pursuit of national progress. The ŠÁKAL SUMMIT is part of the Chaplaincy initiative of the Accra New Town District.

Rev. Michael Gabriel Anim-Tetey stated that the Chaplaincy initiative aims at providing spiritual and emotional support, moral and ethical guidance, crisis intervention and conflict resolution, as well as facilitating religious education and awareness among schools in and around Accra New Town.

On behalf of the Accra New Town Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev. Michael Gabriel Anim-Tetey extended warm wishes to all 2023 BECE candidates. In his closing remarks, he assured the attendees that the event would be an annual occurrence, providing consistent spiritual guidance and support during the examination period for students.
