Philantropist supports Nyinasin M/A Basic School
A Philantropist , Ms Eunice Aba Sackey, has donated education materials and sanitary pads to the Nyinasin M/A Basic School in the Cape Coast Municipality.
The pupils were taken through basic personal hygiene and the proper use of the sanitary pads.

The donation forms part of efforts to help raise awareness on teenage pregnancy in the region.
She also presented soft drinks and packets of biscuits to the school.

Ms Sackey explained that her charity work was to provide humanitarian services to needy communities; hence, the donation to the school.
"After interacting with stakeholders of the school, I noticed that the lack of sanitary pads and personal hygiene were major causes of school dropout and the high rate of teen pregnancy among the young girls," she said.
She reiterated her commitment to supporting deprived communities in the Cape Coast Municipality and, therefore, entreated individuals and corporate organisations to support the less privileged in the municipality.
Ms Sackey also advised the pupils to take their studies seriously and make good use of the learning materials provided to them to enable them to realise their dreams and ambition.
Ms Sackey explained that the sanitary pads were to assist the female pupils during their menstrual period to help reduce the spate of teen pregnancy in the region.
She advised the school authorities to maintain personal hygiene among students as the country continued to battle the ramification of the COVID-19 pandemic in order to enhance the education of the pupils of the school.

Receiving the items, the Headmistress of the school, Mrs Mariam Teiko, thanked Ms Sackey for her generosity and said it would help promote quality teaching and learning.
