Ghanaians love to travel and live anywhere on our planet; from Alaska to Papua New Guinea.

On a lighter note, it is said that the chief vulcaniser in Iceland is a Ghanaian.

A significant thing is that Ghanaians abroad, irrespective of their social class and family back-ground, love to be identified completely as Ghanaians even if they hold foreign citizenship. 

They see their stay abroad merely as an adventure to bring a fortune to, as the Akans put it, where their umbilical cords were cut and buried.

Today, Ghanaians abroad get every Ghanaian food item you can think of.  They read Ghanaian newspapers and listen to news. They hear of events in Ghana faster than some of us do. 

Again, if you ever attended a Ghanaian funeral abroad, you might think it was happening right in my home town, Obomeng – Kwahu.  You see red or black Ghanaian cloths and pouring of libations.
