Ho District GNATLAS donates to Ho Female Prison
The celebration was under the theme “The transformation of education begins with the teacher.”
The Coordinator of the Ho District GNATLAS, Benedicta Tawiah, said the gesture was to support the welfare of the inmates.

Apart from that, she said the society was convinced that convicts needed love and support from the entire public to reform.
“So, this is part of our social responsibility towards the inmates,” the GNATLAS District Coordinator added.
The items were received by Chief Superintendent of Prisons (CSP) Mandy Mensah.
She expressed gratitude for the gesture and urged other groups and public-spirited individuals to support the correctional centre in similar ways.
CSP Mandy, who is the Officer-in-Charge of the Ho Female Prison, said prisoners only lost their right to personal freedom and not the right to personal dignity.
Therefore, she said, it was appropriate for all to contribute to their basic comfort.
