Usually, between ages 20 and 39 ladies especially see themselves as young and chic. However, as soon as their clock hit age 40, then the fashion game changes.

No, you need to feel young and look fabulous in your 40s. In fact, being in your 40s is an interesting time for dressing. You are still young enough to be somewhat experimental but can no longer get away with every trend that comes along.

You can choose to always look sophisticated, you can go the more casual, yet in its own way elegant, you can look sporty even if you are a housewife just to let people know you know what time it is.

In as much as you may want to always look sharp, there are certain things you can avoid. For instance, don’t buy clothes that do not flatter you, even if that is what is trending.

It is good to know your body type and what would make you look chic.

Moreover, try not to be too matchy-matchy or too polished. It’s nice to mix things up and be a bit more playful.

For instance, a two-piece suit will instantly make you look old.

Better to mix that jacket with another skirt or trouser and look effortlessly stylish.
