The pupils who dressed according to the careers they intend to pursue, were briefed on what they need to do in order to achieve their dream careers.

Professions such as law, engineering, medicine, nursing, journalism, lecturing and accounting were showcased by the students.

The career exposition was part of activities held to launch the school’s 20th anniversary celebration.

In her address, a member of the school’s Board of Governors, Reverend Sister Beatrice Hammond, said the school had in its 20 years of existence worked to train many students who are currently working in various fields across the country.

She added that the school had won various awards and trained students who continuously gain admission to reputable senior high schools throughout the country.

She, therefore, advised the students not to relent but work hard to promote the name of the school.

Rt. Rev. Ebenezer Abakah-Wilson, Bishop of the Cape Coast Diocese of the Methodist Church, advised the students to think clearly before they choose a career.

He advised them to take their education seriously and build on their talents, noting that this would help them to pick careers they would be comfortable with.

He called on parents to be part of the children’s lives by guiding them to build solid and successful careers.

Rt Rev. Abakah-Wilson further admonished parents not to impose their desires on their children, as that might not make them passionate about their jobs.

Some of the students who spoke to the Junior Graphic thanked the school for instituting a programme which would help them chart their career paths.
