Letters: Patronise youth engagement centres

Dear Editor, I would like to urge the youth to patronise the Youth Engagement Centres that have been set up by the Ghana Library Authority in collaboration with UNICEF.

The centres, which are located in Accra, Tema, Kumasi, Cape Coast, Winneba, Sekondi, Koforidua, Wa and Bolgatanga, are to develop the digital and entrepreneurial skills of the youth.

This is a good opportunity for young people to access online courses, peer-to-peer learning, career guidance, mentorship support, among other things.

I commend the Ghana Library Authority and UNICEF for this initiative and also appeal to them to create awareness and promote this project by visiting schools and communities to talk about it.

This will help many more youth know and make good use of the centres.
