Chosen Academy, a private school at Teshie-Aayalolo, a suburb of Accra, on Thursday February 4, 2016 engaged in a clean-up exercise within the school’s vicinity.
Madam Comfort Adjetey, headmistress of the school said, the exercise forms part of the Early Childhood Week Celebration initiated by the Ghana Education Service slated for February 1, 2016 to February 5, 2016.
According to her, the exercise was also necessitated by the need to imbibe in the students the spirit of patriotism and cleanliness.
She added that, the exercise also served as a means to practically introduce the students to the need and how to ensure good environmental sanitation as an add-up to their theoretical studies in class.
The students together with their teachers distilled the gutters and swept the vicinity.
