Volta Region: Six dead, 34 rescued in multiple road accidents
Six persons have lost their lives while 34 others have been rescued following multiple road traffic accidents across the Volta Region on Sunday, June 21, the Ghana National Fire Service has said.
The first set of incidents occurred along the Todome stretch near Kpeve on the Peki–Kpeve Road.
A rescue crew from the Peki Fire Station responded to two simultaneous crashes after receiving a distress call at 12:53 pm. The team deployed resources to both locations.

A total of three people have been confirmed dead in the devastating floods that hit Cape Coast at the weekend.
Two occupants were trapped under a collapsed structure at Gyagyano, behind Yogurt Fie on Idan Fourth Alley.
They have been identified as 12-year-old Anastasia Abakah and a 40-year-old Adwoa Baduwa.
They are said to have died after a single-room structure collapsed on them and two others in the early hours of Sunday following heavy rainfall in the metropolis.
