Commitment to duty

Bishop David Oyedepo has noted that “a man of gratitude will perpetually walk in favour.” That is why I want to openly extend my gratitude to the Deputy Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, ACP Timothy Bonga for his commitment to duty. As our elders say, “Se onipa ye adee a, ose ayeyie”.

Two weeks back, armed robbers attempted to break into the residence of my daughter and her husband at Kasoa CP Tophill. My son-in-law heard the hushed voices and the attempts to destroy the burglar proof.

He thus made a call to my cell phone. But how was I to be of any help since I live at Kwashieman and it was about 2 a.m.

The issue was whether I could drive to Kasoa to offer any help. It was possible that the robbers would have concluded their operations or I could fall victim.

I equally did not have any idea as to how to reach the police at Kasoa. As I struggled to come to grips with what to do, my son- in- law called again signalling that he needed to be quiet
