Beyond the ridicule on social media, and subsequently being taken off air, it appears the management of TV3 has taken a much stronger punitive measure against her.

Inside sources revealed exclusively to Showbiz yesterday, October 4 that the Diva Show host has been barred from entering the premises of TV3 and will receive half of her salary while on an indefinite suspension.

According to a release posted on the official website of TV3 last Saturday, Nana Aba had been taken off air because “after preliminary investigations internally, and in accordance with TV3’s own commitment to the highest level of professionalism, Management has decided to take Nana Aba Anamoah off air until further notice.”

The source said the management of TV3 met with Nana Aba Anamoah on Thursday to ascertain why she was alleged to have stolen someone photos. Our attempts to reach Nana Aba for her side of the story proved futile as she could not be reached at the time of going to press.

Although the statement signed by TV3 CEO Mr. Augusts Dickson said the newscaster and co-presenter of TV3’s New Day morning had been taken off air, Graphic Showbiz investigations reveal that she is not supposed to report to work indefinitely and also she would receive half her salary during the period of her suspension.

Nana Aba is being accused of online information theft. Since last week, she has trended on Twitter as followers mocked her and photo-shopped her images into different photo scenarios.

She subsequently, apologised saying: “My intention was not to steal someone’s pictures as mine. Absolutely not.”

Nana Aba also clarified that she was only joking when she tweeted the said photos.

“Sorry to all who got offended by that joke. It was all meant to be an innocent prank,” she added.

Meanwhile on Twitter where she was slammed most of last week, there is a campaign going on for her to be reinstated. As of yesterday afternoon the hashtag #bringbackNanaAba was the number one trending topic.

Also, some popular Ghanaian entertainment people such as radio presenter Abeiku Santana and comedian DKB have called on the management of TV3 to reinstate its most popular presenter.
