Sedem is Miss Culture Ghana 2022

A SECOND year fashion design and technology student of GH Media School,  Miss Jemimah Sedem Apedza, 21, has been crowned Miss Culture Ghana 2022.

The event which took place on Saturday, October 22, at the auditorium of Accra Technical University, Accra, saw six finalists display their intelligence, talent and love for Ghanaian culture and tradition.

After almost five hours of showdown, Sedem emerged winner with Sarah Nana Adwoa Koomson,19, a first year student of Ho Technical University representing the Ashanti Region of Ghana taking the second position.

Charity Abena Assan, 21, a graduate of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) came third.

The winner and runners-up expressed their appreciation to the organisers for hosting an event focused on promoting the tourism, arts and culture.

They also pledged their commitment to highlight the rich potentials of Ghana’s tourism through its traditions and culture.

The judges for the pageant were Mr Fio Richardson Commey, Director of Planning, Research Monitoring & Evaluation at National Commission on Culture Ghana, Mr Kofi Atta Kakra Kusi, Deputy Head of Corporate Affairs at Ghana Tourism Authority, Ms. Anita Ayorkor Adjetey, Municipal Cultural Officer, Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly and Madam Brandina Djagba (Mama Africa), The Wear Ghana Ambassador.

Mr Isaac Larmie, CEO of Miss Ghana Culture, commended winners and other contestants of the pageant for their dedication to promoting the Ghanaian Culture.

He also expressed his appreciation to sponsors and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture, Ghana Tourism Authority and National Commission on Culture, Blow Chem Industries, producers of Bel Beverages among others for their support
