Luciano was here again
It didn’t receive the wide publicity deserving of such a big international star but top-flight Jamaican reggae artiste, Luciano was in Ghana again for a concert on December 29 at the Seven Heaven entertainment venue at Tema Community Seven.

Luciano, known for songs like God Is My Friend, It’s Me Again Jah, Oh Father I Love Thee, Jah Is My Navigator and United States Of Africa, first performed in Ghana in 2007.
He was here again in 2014. The man is highly respected for his conscious reggae that reflects his religious and social concerns.
Mainly by word of mouth and through some amount of subdued electronic media exposure, a sizeable crowd still turned up at Seven Heaven to hear the multiple award- winning reggae musician whose Zion Awake collection is in contention for the Best Reggae Album at this year’s in the United States.
The Tema event took off with a sizzling performance from Redfyah. He was followed by Blakk Rasta who warmed up the atmosphere some more with his brand of reggae called Moonsplash.
Luciano then mounted the stage and set the whole place ablaze with some of his best-known songs. He was evidently delighted to have Ghanaian singer TrebleZion helping out with backing vocals and they collectively did justice to all the songs the audience wanted to hear.
TrebleZion has a wide range of experience, having been discovered sometime ago by the late highlife great, Kofi Ani Johnson. She later went on to sing with the Suapon Band of the University of Cape Coast and the Hydro Band at Akosombo as well as with Wiyaala and Fatau Keita.
“It was a great delight working with Luciano,” TrebleZion told Showbiz after the concert.
She is currently being featured on a new single by Luciano and is set to go into the studio to work on some stuff of her own.
“I love reggae and working with Luciano has made the passion for it even more intense but I’m also a jazz and blues addict so it is going to be an album of exciting mixed stuff,” TrebleZion pointed out.
