Kojo Antwi goes into radio
Well-known Ghanaian singer-songwriter, Kojo Antwi has decided to expand his business wings by going into radio with the establishment of his own station, Breeze 90.9 FM.
The station has been test transmitting since November 24 last year from its base in the Airport Residential Area of Accra.
A statement signed by Daddy Bosco and released on behalf of the station in Accra earlier in the week said Breeze FM was keen on creating a unique brand of radio programming which would reflect Kojo Antwi’s special role in the music industry.
The statement indicated that Breeze FM would present a heady mix of exciting programmes to cater for the current affairs- oriented listener as well as a healthy dose of entertainment and sports.
“Currently, Breeze FM plays a refined selection of music spanning over three decades with the aim of providing a nostalgic yet refreshing experience for its listeners and thereby delivering top of the line value to advertisers,” the statement said.
Breeze FM carried a live broadcast of Kojo Antwi’s 24th Night Explosion show at the National Theatre on Christmas eve last year. The event featured the internationally-acclaimed Camerounian bassist Richard Bona and rapper-singer Castro from Ghana.
The station is expected to be formally launched in February.
