The family of late actress and entrepreneur Beverly Afaglo has announced a change of venue for her funeral service, with mourners now expected to gather at the Forecourt of the State House instead of the previously announced Lashibi Funeral Home.
A statement from the family said the funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 7:00 a.m., after which the burial will take place in private.
A thanksgiving service will follow on Sunday, August 9, at Action Chapel International at 9:00 a.m., where family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers will gather once again to celebrate the actress's life and legacy.
The family has invited members of the public, particularly relatives, friends and colleagues from Ghana's creative industry, to join them in paying their final respects to the beloved actress. (Related article:Ghanaian actress and media personality Beverly Afaglo passes on)
Beverly Afaglo died on May 24, 2026, at the age of 42, just four days before her 43rd birthday. News of her sudden passing plunged Ghana's entertainment industry into mourning, with an outpouring of tributes from actors, musicians, broadcasters and fans who remembered her as a warm, vibrant and dedicated professional.
Her death was confirmed by her husband, musician Eugene Kwadwo Baah, popularly known as Choirmaster of the former hiplife group Praye, in an emotional social media tribute.
"My heart is shattered beyond words over the death of my beloved wife Beverly Afaglo," he wrote.
"It would have been just four more days to your birthday, but I guess the Lord wanted to celebrate with you, so He called you.
"You were my strength, my happiness, and the reason my life felt complete. Every moment with you was a blessing I will cherish forever."

In one of the most touching parts of his tribute, Choirmaster said he could still hear her voice encouraging him and promised to continue the dreams they had built together while taking care of their two children. Beverly, born on May 28, 1983, was one of the familiar faces on Ghanaian television and movie screens during the late 2000s and early 2010s.
She made her mark with memorable roles in films such as Return of Beyonce (2006), Crime to Christ (2007), Girls Connection (2008), Never Again (2010), Turn Me On, The Game, Single Six, Equatorial Escape, Secret Burden, The King's Bride, Total Exchange, PlayBoy, Big Girls Club, CEO, About to Wed, A Northern Affair and Bachelors.
Beyond acting, Beverly also ventured into entrepreneurship and remained an admired personality whose infectious smile and lively spirit endeared her to many.
She is survived by her husband, Choirmaster, and their two children.
