Arts Centre celebrates late composer Emmanuel Pappoe Thompson
The Centre for National Culture, Greater Accra, in the spirit of patriotism and celebrating an indigene of Accra and a legendary composer is coming up with its annual choral festival dubbed "Pappoe Thompson Choral Festival 2023".

The Pappoe Thompson Choral Festival which precedes the Independence Day celebration comes off on March 3, 2023, 2pm at the main Hall of the Arts Centre, Accra.
Fourteen (14) choirs comprising industrial choirs, church choirs and university choirs will participate in the event which will be used to bring to the fore some of his musical works.
The late Emmanuel Pappoe Thompson has great works to his credit including the lyrics of the national anthem though the music was composed by Philip Gbeho.
The guest of the event is Madam Janet Edna Nyame, Executive Director of the National Commission on Culture.
