iYES is an annual platform that brings together successful individuals and young people for a frank exchange of ideas aimed at empowering the latter to reach for higher feat in life.

The speakers at this year’s event which was a collaboration between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Youth Authority threw light on the challenges they faced in climbing the success ladder and how they managed to overcome them.

According to Sonnie Badu, the successes he has chalked did not come on a silver platter.

“As a young person, you need to be focused and have a clearly defined aim.

When you have these things figured out, it is difficult for you to divert when the journey begins. It was not easy for me and I am not promising that it will be rosy, but then let the word, focus, be your guard.

“My experience in life has taught me to put God first in all things and not allow my beginning to define my future.

You have the power to choose which path you want to take and once you are determined you will get there,” he addressed the audience.

“This is not to say that, there are no distractions on the way, there are but you need to fix your eyes on the ultimate which is the end results. Work hard and give off your best in anything you set out to do, do not forget to love and have passion for it,” he added.

Gospel artiste, Ceccy Twum, took to the stage and gave the audience an energetic and power full performance.

Coded of 4x4 encouraged the youth to make use of their talent and craft. “God in His wisdom has given us gifts which we need to put to use.

It also doesn’t mean you should relax, you need to harness it, build it, grow it and you will be sorted.”

This year’s edition hosted by UK-based Ghanaian pastor, Brian Amoateng, featured other personalities who have excelled in various fields of endeavour like Bishop Tudor Bismark, Prophet Daniel Amoateng, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings and Desmond Elliot.

The others are Lawyer Adwoa Sarfo, Ms Obuobia Darko Opoku, Mr Fifi Kwetey, Randy Osae Bediako and Dr. Frank Ofosu Appiah.
