Between now and 2016, the National Investment Bank (NIB) will open 22 new branches to expand the deposit base to its customers.

With the existing 28 branches across the country, opening the new branches will bring the total number of NIB branches in the country to 50.

The Managing Director of NIB, Mr Ernest Mawuli Agbesi, who announced this in Kumasi, said the measures formed part of the bank’s three-year strategic plan approved by its board.

He said in Kumasi alone, the bank would soon open three executive branches at the central business district of Adum, Roman Hill and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) area.

That, to him, would bring the total NIB branches in Kumasi to five, having noted that the two existing branches – Adum Main and Kejetia – had been yielding the desired results.

He, however, asked customers never to relent in their efforts to transact business with the bank, adding that members of the general public would be witnesses to an innovative and progressive banking environment.

The General Manager, Client Services of NIB, Mr John Kwaku Asamoah, on behalf of the management of NIB commended all staff members for their hard work and asked that they continued to serve customers with diligence.
