Consequently, the bank under an initiative orchestrated by the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) Power Queens Club, dubbed “FemPower Outreach project”, has supported the celebration of the club’s 35th anniversary, aimed to identify and nurture talented young females within the company.

On the theme: "FemPower Outreach: Empowering HER to Break Frontiers in Leadership and Self-worth," Chief Transformation Officer at Fidelity Bank, Kwasi Akyeampong, and member of the Fidelity Gender Champions who participated in a panel discussion titled "Smashing Career Barriers: The Male Perspective," encouraged women to actively pursue challenging roles and build strong professional networks.

He also advocated organisational support structures and a balanced work environment that fosters inclusivity.

Mr Akyeampong highlighted the transformation of workplace dialogue, recognising the importance of incorporating unique family-centric traits and also called for a shift in the narrative surrounding women's contributions, acknowledging their energy and critical thinking capabilities.

He further emphasised the fundamental role of education, exposure and continuous learning to shape the future of women, stressing the importance of equitable access to quality education, championing increased participation of women in high-profile conferences, and encouraging proactive learning through reading and personal development.

The event was chaired by the Chief of Staff, Office of the President, Frema Osei-Opare, and attracted persons dedicated to supporting and nurturing talented women within ECG.
