Economic growth slows down to 3.1% in 2022

Ghana’s economy grew by 3.1 per cent in 2022, compared to 5.1 per cent in 2021, the Ghana Statistical Service has announced.

The 2022 GDP growth was largely driven by the services sector which contributed 44.9 per cent, followed by the industry sector with 34.2. 

The agriculture sector continues to be the lowest contributor with 20.9 per cent.

Non oil GDP for 2022 was also 3.8 per cent, compared to 6.6 per cent in 2021.
