AFB rewards schools on Indece Day

African Finance Business (AFB), a leading consumer finance business in the country, has presented cash awards and certificates to selected schools that distinguished themselves during the 57th independence anniversary celebration in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region.

The schools are: OLA Primary School, Sacred Heart JHS and Bolga Girls SHS. They emerged as the best primary school, Junior High School and Senior High School, respectively, after the march past.

Explaining the rationale behind the gesture, the branch manager of AFB in Bolga, Mrs Augustina Telly, said the donation was an integral part of AFB’s social responsibility which it started last year.

She also said AFB believed that the development of innovative financial services products to serve the customers was fundamental to supporting development and empowering individuals in Ghana and Africa as a whole.

She narrated how AFB loans had supported government salaried workers during times of emergency.

“The loans provided have also aided the development of family entrepreneurial activities, supported children in education, enabled the purchase of life-enhancing assets and financed housing projects”, she added.
