First Choice Hair and Beauty opens foodstuff shop
A hair and beauty company, First Choice (FC), has opened a foodstuff shop to provide women with the convenience of shopping in a clean and safe environment.
Known as the First Choice-Farm Fresh Shop, FC is providing customers with a one-stop shop where their shopping and beauty needs would be taken care of under one roof.

Customers can also have their locally grown food items such as vegetables, fruits, meat and other organic products, among others, delivered to them in the comfort of their homes.

At a ceremony to officially open the shop in Accra last Saturday, (October 17, this year), the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of First Choice, Mrs. Faustina Adofe Adjagar, noted that her company was focused on providing women with three key things: beauty and wellness, health and safety, and kitchen and good food.
She said over the past 20 years, her company has provided beauty and grooming services to Ghanaians, however the latter, kitchen and good food, was to address the limited time women had in caring for themselves and their homes.
“Most women upon visiting our beauty salons are in a rush to go to the market from here, so we decided to open this shop to help them to purchase healthy food items and also have enough time to take care of their families.
“We also observed that it was always difficult to go out to the shopping mall or the local market because of safety concerns of the coronavirus.
In Ghana our home delivery of grocery is yet rudimentary unlike places such as the United States where Amazon delivery vans can bring to your doorstep daily purchases including Farm Fresh,” she noted.
COVID-19
Mrs. Adjagar, describing the shop as a rare combination, noted that she was inspired to set up the foodstuff shop during the COVID-19 pandemic where safety and health was of major concern particularly in the local markets which were usually crowded.
“It was the health, safety and convenience for our clients that sparked this unique idea, this rare combination. Here we are today starting this first in Ghana and maybe in Africa, beauty and Farm Fresh because of the care of our clients. To keep our clients safe from the coronavirus pandemic, you can have all the farm’s fresh under one roof without going to the Local market again,” she said.
She noted that the shop was equipped with all the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and strictly adhered to all the COVID-19 safety protocols, thus encouraging women to visit their salons as they would have easy access to their beauty and their shopping needs.
