The tournament, organized by Tariq Lamptey, the talented 22-year-old player from Brighton and Hove Albion, aimed to give back to young footballers and students in Anum, Asamankese.

The exhibition match consisted of two 20-minute halves, and the winning goal came from Young Kotoko's captain, Prince Atsu, who fired a long-range shot past Kodie FC's goalkeeper, Derek Asiedu.

Atsu was later recognized as the best player of the match and was presented with boots by Lamptey.

Tariq Lamptey, accompanied by his brother, parents, and Anumhene Barfor Kofi Debrah I, attended the match. In an interview after the event, Lamptey expressed his delight with the teams' performance and expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to support them as a professional footballer.

He handed out prizes, including Brighton's 2023/2024 jerseys and football boots donated by the club and his teammates, to the participating teams and two schools: Freeman Methodist School and Wesley Methodist School.

"I am extremely happy, and the level of play was impressive. I appreciate the opportunity and the warm reception. Hopefully, this is just the beginning of many such initiatives," Lamptey stated.

He urged the youngsters to continue working hard in school and on the football pitch to realize their dreams in future.

Lamptey also expressed his gratitude to his friends, family, and teammates for their contributions to the event's success.
