WAFA host Kotoko tomorrow

The Premier League bounces back tomorrow after a month’s break with WAFA clashing with Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Red Bull Arena at Sogakope in a Match Day 14 outstanding match.

WAFA will be hoping to return to the summit of the league log with a win over a Kotoko side which appealed for the match to be  rescheduled following the team’s involvement in a motor accident at Nkawkaw last month.

A win for Kotoko could affect WAFA's quest to win the league for the first time in its history, but with an impressive home record, WAFA have the edge, having won 10 of their 11 home games, including a draw.

Meanwhile, Great Olympics will play host to Accra Hearts of Oak in a crucial derby on Sunday in a 25th week top liner to mark the return of the Ghana Premier League, which was put on hold to allow the Black Stars B honour their CHAN qualifier against Burkina Faso.

In other matches on Sunday, Kotoko will welcome Bolga All Stars to Kumasi, Aduana Stars host Inter Allies at Dormaa-Ahenkro, WAFA will travel to Tema to play Tema Youth, while Wa All Stars play host to Medeama.

Berekum Chelsea will play Elmina Sharks at the Golden City Park, while Liberty Professionals travel to the Cape Coast Stadium to face Ebusua Dwarfs.

According to a review of the fixtures released by the Premier League Board (PLB) yesterday, the Week 26 matches will be cleared next Wednesday, followed by the Week 27 games on Wednesday, September 6.
