Site Five win Tema Inter Site, Community gala

Site Five are champions of this year’s annual Inter Site/Community football gala organised in Tema to climax the yuletide.

They beat Site One 4-2 on penalties after a goalless drawn game in regulation time to lift the trophy, a set of jerseys, football and a cash prize of GH¢2, 000.

The two-week long football competition which attracted about 25 teams from Tema, Ashaiman, Kpone and Sakumono, kicked off on Boxing Day at the Akodzo Primary School park.

Site One also received an amount of GH¢1000, a set of jerseys and football for their effort. Sakumono and Ashaiman won the third and fourth positions respectively.

Stephen Lotsu of Sakumono was adjudged the best player of the tournament, while Bismark Nortey of Site Five emerged as the best goalkeeper. The Golden Boot award went to Obodai Schandorf of Site 10 who scored three goals.

The 1/16th stage of the competition ended with Site Five, Site Seven, Site 10, Ashaiman Lebanon, Sakumono, Ashaiman Roman, Site One and Community Seven qualifying to the quarter finals which was played between Site Five and Site Seven, Site 10 versus Ashaiman Lebanon, Sakumono versus Ashaiman Roman and Site One against Community Seven last Friday.

Harbours Authority (GHAPOHA).
