Former Deportivo de La Coruña trainer, Seedorf and Paris Saint-Germain Director of Football, Kluivert arrived in the African country yesterday ahead of the signing.

They two Dutch coaches have been tasked to ensure the success of five-time African champions Cameroon at all major football competitions - including winning the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON), and also qualifying for the 2021 AFCON and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Seedorf, 42, is expected to name his complete backroom staff for the Indomitable Lions in the coming days.

Cameroon becomes the fourth team Seedorf is managing after brief (less than six months) coaching stints with Milan (2014), Shenzen (2016) and Deportivo (2018) while Kluivert, 42, has had stints as assistant coaching with AZ Alkmaar, Brisbane Roar and the Netherlands national team.

Both players had stellar, trophy-laden careers in European football.

Seedorf is considered one of the most successful players in UEFA Champions League history, as he is the first, and currently the only, player to have won the Champions League with three clubs – once with Ajax, in 1995, once with Real Madrid, in 1998 and twice with Milan, in 2003 and 2007.

Kluivert spent six years with Spanish club Barcelona where he formed a successful partnership with Rivaldo, where both won the Spanish La Liga championship of 1999 and Kluivert scored 124 goals from 249 appearances in all.
