Dubbed “The Renaissance – Let’s get our sports working again”, the campaign captures 19 key points that have been identified by Mr Nunoo-Mensah to help revive Ghana sports.

The campaign document made available to the GNA Sports, outlined funding and inability of least finance sports associations to lobby government and other stakeholders to support their development.

According to the campaign document, the GOC under Mr Nunoo-Mensah will create a transparent and accountable GOC which will see to the involvement of all key stakeholders from the board to the sub-committee level.

It will also see the GOC acquiring a modern and well furnished structure by lobbying the Ministry of Works and Housing to serve as its secretariat and will be named the “Olympic House”, whilst efforts will be made at lobbying the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to visit Ghana.

The Nunoo-Mensah presidency according to the document, would also ensure the continuation of the abandoned Olympic Project at Amansaman in the Greater Accra Region.

In addition, there will be a decentralisation of the activities of the GOC through the formation of eight sub-committees, to ensure the smooth and effective policy formulation and implementation.

They are: Finance, Olympic Solidarity and Projects, Events and Programmes, Fundraising/Marketing and Sponsorship, Legal and Constitutional, Medical, Communication and National Federation Relations.

According to the campaign documents, the new GOC would be self sustaining and will also ensure national federations are assisted to pay their affiliation fees.
