Lepo Ladies back to NWL

Lepowura Alhaji M.N. D. Jawula’s Lepo Ladies  are back to the National Women’s League (NWL) after winning the Zone 1 Championships last Friday.

Lepo Ladies, who were among the first 12 teams to qualify for the maiden edition, were relegated that same season and had to fight to regain promotion in last week’s zonal competition.

They finished as winners in the zone, beating Upper East’s Yorogo Ladies 7-0 in their final game which saw Goaso Unity Ladies losing out after a good start.

In Zone 2, Kansa Ladies also qualified as the second team from the Western Region after beating Dream Ladies 1-0 in their final game.

Blessed Ladies from Greater Accra completed the list of three after beating Central Region’s Bafana Ladies 1-0 in their final game.

The three will play in next season’s NWL.
