LeGyandary: Asamoah Gyan launches autobiography

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has launched ‘LeGyandary’, an autobiography about Ghana’s all-time top scorer, Asamoah Gyan.

The President who was gifted the first copy of the book after officially launching it paved the way for other bidders to grab the first 50 copies that was sold at the event.

Gyan remains the first Ghanaian footballer to document his life in a book which captures the told and untold story during his time with the Black Stars, and other aspects of his career.

“This day means a lot to me because of where I am coming from,” Gyan said in his speech.

“I am very grateful to everyone especially the President for gracing this occasion and I believe that the future is bright for me after this event.”

There was a mad rush for the first 50 copies of the book which was auctioned with renowned businessmen and businesswomen purchasing it.

Meanwhile, Gyan was named Ghana’s ambassador for the upcoming FIFA World Cup participation in Qatar in November.

Dr Ibrahim Mohammed Awal, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, made the announcement during the launch of Gyan’s autobiography.
