Kotoko, Hearts to shake Kumasi on Sunday

Despite Asante Kotoko’s comfortable lead in the ongoing Ghana Premier League, they will be out to seek revenge against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak in their cagey 24th week top liner at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

After suffering a painful 1-2 defeat to their bitterest rivals Hearts in the recent President’s Cup match at the Accra Stadium in the presence of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo last month, the Porcupine Warriors will have a fine chance to settle scores on home soil.

This was after the two giants had played out a scoreless draw in their first round league encounter at the same venue. That is why Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum’s charges will strive to maintain the momentum after seeking revenge against their noisy neighbours, King Faisal, in their thrilling derby in Kumasi last Sunday.

The impressive pace set by Kotoko in the first round has set them apart from the rest and also brought back the smiles to the faces of their loyal fans who are already dreaming of another league title at the end of the season.
