Kotoko capture Yahaya Dawuni

Premier League side, Asante Kotoko, have secured the services of Yahaya Dawuni ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.

The 19-year-old defender joined the 24-times Premier League champions from Akim Tafo Susubiribi SC and is considered one of the most promising players in the league local.

Yahaya who is also a member of the Black Galaxies has become the first signing of newly-appointed coach, Prosper Nartey Ogum as he prepares a team for the upcoming season.

Coach Ogum is making his second appearance in the dug out of the Porcupine Warriors and he believes the prowess of the 19-year-old could help him capture the league title.

After signing the contract, the player expressed delight in joining the club and added that it has been his dream to be part of the Porcupine Warriors and play in front of their fans.

“I feel happy to be here. Kotoko is my dream club, and I am honoured to be part of this great family, to be able to dorn the iconic red jersey and also play in front of the loyal supporters at the Baba Yara Stadium”, he said.
